Default Use of Articles

One thing that has crossed my mind is whether to use articles that are sent for distribution on your own site. If I understand it correctly, Google will rank the first article copy it find most highly and not necessarily pay attention to the rest.

So if I put an article on my site then distribute it, am I damaging the power of the articles elsewhere?

Excuse me poting on my own topic. I'm a bit surprised that there were no responses initially. I'm assuming that most people on here use article distribution as part of their campaigns.

So do you publish articles that you distribute on your own site?

Default What I've done

I'm not as versed in articles as I would like to be, but I'll share my experience and hopefully get some better responses.

I have a blog and when I come up with a decent post (not often mind you, lol) I would wait a few days and turn it into an article and distribute it. I was thinking the same thing you were, that having the initial text on my site would waver the integrity of the article, but after about 2 months I'm getting great responses. Like I said, I waited a few days, maybe even a week just in case, but all seems well.

Again, I don't know how much this proves, but was my little experience. Hope this helps.

I tend to put articles directly on the site and I have a separate blog, nice for the inbound links, on which I'll do an overview of the article and then link into the article. Like this
