Optimization for Google and Yahoo

I am looking for some help as far as SEO. I've launched an eCommerce web site back in May of 2005 selling rosaries, beads and supplies. The site address is:

I'm having a hard time getting the site to the first page in Google and Yahoo. I've tried SEO myself, based on experience from my other site:
http://www.holylandmarket.com

I am looking for ideas on what I am doing wrong.

To get high ranking in search engines, use targeted keywords in your content, try to get more relevant high PR links, submit your banner on relevant sites. All these points will help you in getting high ranking.
