Default Clean up URLs

Hi everyone and thanks for viewing this topic, hope someone can help with this one.
We have an osCommerce site and one person from this forum and Shawn from automapit (I have to say has been very helpful and everyone from this forum too) have mentioned that the URLs are complicated due to this code - osCsid. Does anyone know how I can remove this code from the URLs and simplify them for the search engines please

Thanks

Default osCommerce contribution

Hi,

There are "contributions" available from the
osCommerce forum/support site that add more
search engine friendly urls. Just do a search
on the oscommerce contribution site.

Eventhough the url maybe...
http ://www. yoursite/product_info.php? path=64&products_id=376
the text "High-End Computer System Gamers Edition"
is still seen by search engines.

Default easy?

Easy to install? - It depends :-)

I have not used a SEO contribution... but for
contributions I've used.. some are fairly easy -
just copying new/revised php files while others may
require some changes in the php code that you have
to enter and/or chnage in database sql.

You are using a fairly un-modified osCommerce set-up
so you shouldn't have to worry about how any
contribution will change your site.
