Default Link Building

Hi Everyone,
Someone Please let me know, which is the better option for link building either Directory Submission or Direct Relevant Site Submissions. If both, than to which extent. Moreover I want to know inbound links are more important or outbound links for the ranking of a site.

Thanks & Regards

Hiya learnseo,

Tackling the second question first - I would say inbound links are more important for your site. But I don't think you get penalised for linking out to sites whose content is relevant to the visitors of your site.

With link building I would say to go with both directories and relevant sites (I can't tell you to what extent! Not sure if Google & Co make that info publicly available...)

It would not look 'natural' to Google & Co if all your links came from directories, so I would say spread it out a bit! If someone told you that 'xyz' type of sites were worth 10 times as much as 'abc' types of sites with regards to getting links from, and you then went and got all your inbound links from xyz sites, that may not look natural either to the SE's, which may therefore not be helpful to you.

Hope that helps,

Darren.

it is better to get links through both ways, directories and relevant sites.
regarding other question,
i think inbound links are more important for SEO, at the sametime outbound links are important to stress relevance.

Don't go for submitting your site in link directory or don't opt for FFA sites. Always avoid link from adult sites.

You can try for article submission. These will help you in two ways. Good informative research article will help visitors to get their requisite information as well as it will increase your net reputation slowly being a good site. Visitors will love to visit your site frequently, and chances of book marked will be high. At the same time you will earn some back link, which is relevant and ethical.
