Default Floating Adverts and SEO

Hi All,

I always see these nice floating adverts. Do these adverts cause any problems for the spiders? are they frowned up on?

thanks
Tala

Advertisements don't affect spiders. Even of they read them they are just content like everything else.

When you say floating adverts, I assume you mean the ones that follow you as you scroll down a page?

If so, then as stymiee said, SEs probably treat it as normal content, however your visitors might find them a nuisance.

I would say in the interest of keeping visitors onto your site, find another type of advert that is effective, but isn't too imposing. No one buys things that are rammed down their throat.
