Default Search Engine Submission & Firewalls

Hello,

I recently went to submit my site to the search engine Qango. I was instructed to disable any IP protection and also my firewall.

I do not have IP address protection but there was no way I was going to disable my firewall.

Email today from Qango could not understand my hesitation.

Sounds like a business making a client pay for their ignorance.

Why on earth would they want you to disable your firewal? Sounds crazy to me.

BTW, how does one respond to the poll? I don't find any voting method available . . .

Disable security and firewalls for a search engine?
No way. No how. No when.

They're either extremely ignorant, or may have ulterior motives....
