Default Not getting indexed - yahoo site builder

I have a friend who is not getting indexed. Her site is a bit strange and the code is far from compliant. She uses Yahoo Site Builder. Any thoughts why Google wont even attempt to list this site? Log files show the site is getting visited by a GoogleBot.

Google Site map was submitted and it gets crawled. Is this just a waiting game for her?

Thanks pros-

Yes and while she is waiting have her attain as many relevant links as possible to her website.

Looking at the website you might want to consider:

1. Get rid of the intro page.
2. Make the navigation more SEO friendly
3. Hire a designer or just be patient with SERP results until she learns how to design a website that is more conforming to W3 standards and search engines requirements.

all of the above.. and here's a great tool to get a quick scan on a site..

as you can see she has a listing in google and a couple other engines. Try to correct some of those code warnings.

HIGHLY, highly recommend scrapping the yahoo sitebuilder for using dreamweaver or almost any other wysiwyg editor. We had one client, we redid the coding on her yahoo site builder site, moved it to a proper host and she went from beyond 100 in the listings to top 30. That was without making any content changes.

All the best,

Default Sorry

Sorry I did not get back to look at people's replies I did not get notified. Thank you all a bunch for confirming everything I was thinking.

She is far far far from using compliant code. I told her about the intro page. I told her about the look of her website. I also told her to use dreamweaver and scrap sitebuilder which is the worst HTML editor I have ever worked with. Sitebuilder does not allow you to add a doctype or all of the proper meta tags. If you talk to a Yahoo SEO "expert" they will honestly say that their software is the best for SERP coding. They tell this to thousands of people a day I believe.

I just wanted to know that I was not crazy and that other intelligent people had the same ideas.

This board is great thanks for taking your time to respond.
