Before G did their first big algo change (4 years ago?), our website was #1 for "mouse pads". Afterwards we took a huge dive and this site took #1 spot over and has maintained first page status ever since (title is "Mouse Pad Couch" #2 in G). Can anyone shed some light on this one? Check this out- www.rit.edu/~jpsdss/couch/
Thought this may be of some interest and I have been curious for some time. Cathy www.mousepadsonline.com |

You can compare your link popularity to theirs here:
http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/ It's a funny page so people link to it! Maybe you should fight fire with fire and create a page on your site with a Mouse Pad Couch AND Chair? Use your imagination and create a little viral marketing... |

The root of the webpage is a Univerisity with a PR of 8. Also, they probably do have a significant number of backlinks going to them.
You can take them on by examining your competitors that rank ahead of the mouse pad couch. Odds are the mouse pad couch will eventually slip from the listings. |

Amazing couch.
By the way, this is a good topic for press release, and surely add the photo. Never seen this before.

There are a number of "Wierd Couches" out there.
PR8s especially .edu's are going to rail. Students that pipe in there can do almost anything they want. We have raked this one out before. We have also discussed the fact that as Sites mature through higher PR levels, they are granted certain privilages and immunities as "trusted" sites. ;) Ken |
