Hi, I've just done a site report on http://www.natureshealthypeople.com
I chose the main keyword as being Womens Health - Now here is my question - gramatically it should read Women's but are "aprostrophes" recognised by spiders? Also what would you optimize this site for as it has a massive choice of keywords? Many Thanks David |

IMO - I wouldn't worry as much about the top logic gate, that's pretty easy to find.
I'd focus more on secondary logic SE feeds, making sure they are pristeen. Deposit information appropiately in the correct "bins" where the SEs can find them easily and succintly. That's what the second level is all about, or else there wouldn't be an "unwritten" 2-3 click max access rule for web developers. Ken |

I really think seeing this URL today is like a sign! I just heard some really bad news about a friend of mine who's mother have cancer! She suffered for a long time from low white blood cells and they think thats what caused the cancer to develop. Being faced with a similar thing with my sister who has the same problem - I saw the site and I will get her to buy the Immunity system boosters tablets. I hope they do deliver to the UK.. thanks again for introducing the site to us. |

Well I'm sincerely pleased that you found it of help, and I wish both your sister and friend's mother well.

Hi there,
Go for Women's health, i don't think search engines do recognise the ' so it doesnt matter to them either way you do it. As for keyword targettin, throughout the site i would target Personal Health and then secondarily target things like Women's Health, Men's Health etc. in their respective sections. |

Hello everyone...thanks for all your input on my natural health site: www.natureshealthypeople.com
WomenXtra, Please let me know by contacting me through the site or by PM if I can be of any help to your sister...we have a large selection of natural immunity boosting products to choose from that I can help explain and guide you toward the best choices...but if there is a serious health condition ongoing, I would prefer you setup a phone consultation with our Master Herbalist. Also, we do ship to the UK. As far as SEO goes: I have not been really targeting "women's health" as a keyword. My primary keywords that I have been targeting are: Herbal Supplements Natural Supplements Natures Sunshine Herbal Remedies weightloss herbs ...but of course there are many, mant others that we do OK with. Until recently, goog had been sending us alot of traffic and our rankings have dropped since around Feb 1st. Msn loves us and traffic from yahoo which has always been a laggard is picking up. What are your keyword suggestions for our site? Are there any major problems with it? |

Thanks Darin,
I forwarded the website for her to check out and see what she could order.. her condition does have a name..I will PM you and see if there is a specific type of herbal stuff she could take. I really appreciate it thanks T |

If you check some rankings on apostrophe keywords and without you see the rankings do vary somewhat, so I think the apostrophe is recognized in some fashion.
Not to change the subject, but what really throws me for a loop is why they recognize the "dash" as something different than a space. That one bothers me. |

I agree with incredible...the apostrophe does matter.
For example: just use "natures sunshine" instead by "nature's sunshine" and you'll see the difference in where the site ranks. Plural forms also matter as seen in "herbal supplement" vs "herbal supplements" ...but interestingly the higher rank in goog currently is without the "s" and I rarely use that in anchor text??? ....its a bit puzzling This is making me wonder if there is a penality of some kind for my site. I am using an internal sitewide for "herbal supplements" and the ranking is lower for that term -- its now 4th page and used to be page 1. This site wide has been up since about September...and we were looking great throughout jagger. Any ideas? |
