We're currently looking into purchasing a complete website, domain and all, with tons of quality incoming links, and is currently ranking well in the search engines for many related keywords.
My question is this: Since the WhoIs information will be changing hands from them to us, and we already have a site that is very similar in nature (but we won't redirect, they will stay seperate money-makers) that will then have the same whois information as the new site we purchase, will this make any difference whatsoever in search engines? I am assuming the problem may come from Google, but didn't know of others also may follow? Or if this even matters at all? |

If that's a concern for you and personally, I don't believe it should be.
You could always privatize the registration. Most registrars have this option. Doesn't cost much either |
