Default click here

Click here has to be the number one used anchor tag on the web, the only problem is that nobody searches for click here.

So this is a reminder for everyone out there to make proper use of all your anchor tags.

By the way adobe is #1 for click here on google

43.7 million results?!?

OMFG and you'd think a major company Adobe would've used the link text more wisely.

Still how many pages do you see "Click here to view the PDF document of XYZ"

This reminds me of the skewed results you can see when searching for "leave" and "exit". This is because many pr0n sites have the "Enter" and "Exit" links on their home pages. Many link to Disney.com, Yahoo, or Google (that's what I hear anyway).

Well, I am the expert - whenever I find myself on such unseemly sites, I always click on "Exit", of course.

It was the bit in brackets that made me laugh, hence my last comment. You were implying thats what porn sites do, (so you understand, because you don't really look at porn sites).

If not, then sorry about my sense of humour malfunctioning :)

Well, it sounds like I'm loosing my touch, because my last comment was also an attempt at humor.

Explaining an apparently unfunny joke is never a good idea, but because I fell like a tool now, I'm going to do it anyway: See in my first comment I coyly suggested I never visited porn sites. You were with me so far and graciously followed up on my feeble joke. Then in my second comment I tried to beat the dearly departed horse by insisting that I was the expert because I always click "Exit" and spend a few minutes coloring pictures on Disney.com.

Now that I've thoroughly hijacked what was a great point by coder, I'm going to go click "Enter" a few times to see what all the fuss is about.
