Getting up the Google Ladder
All,
I am building a site for ALL London Public Houses, I already run the best site for Essex PH (Genealogy only).
Anyway, it's a bit slow moving up the Google rankings, it's about 30 for London Public House for a site called LondonPublicHouse.com - bear with me - I am not advertisising the site.
I also have several sites that are recognised by Google as reasonable sites, so I created a naff page called LondonPublicHouses.htm, or something similar, added lots of stupid info, and a link to each area of Pubs in the London Pub site.
This shot in to the top ten in Google, whilst the site with the info stayed around number 30.
This really p****s me off, this suggests the wasters who do nothing better than link to pages with good content are better recognised than those putting in hours of work, I mean absolutely hours and hours.
Does anyone have a simple suggestion to get round this. I hate the waster link sites who add nothing.
I think I might just delete the site. But I guess Google has already stored all info,as does the wayBack machine - this is actually a really useful site for checking what a site looked like previously, especially when one has deleted all content at some stage, or not made the right back ups.
Best
Kevan
