Hi,

Our company is considering moving to a Content Management System which supports search engine friendly urls.

Is there anything else I should be looking at to ensure our search engine ranking doesn't drop after this transition?

Depends on how its done. If the new page name are what the search engine sees then if you are considering rewriting the pagenames to be more search engine friendly make sure that you have a mechanism in place to put a 301 redirect from the old name to the new names otherwise the pages indexed under the old names may generate 404 errors when clicked to from search engine listing and/or the old pages will lose thier ranking without the new pages having picked up theirs yet.
