Default What pages are indexed???

Obviously new at this whole game so you'll have to bear with me. I have had my site up for about 2 weeks now and I know that it is indexed in google as I can pull up the site by searching for the url. My question is is how can I tell if the search engines are crawling the whole site or just the index.html page. I have links on my home page on the top (standard nav bar) and the bottom. Website URL is in my sig if it is necessary for someone to look at it.

Just trying to get a handle on this whole SEO thing. Any comments or help is appreciated. My one thought is that I need more content and I will be working on that this week. Thanks in advance

Default Google Index

Knowvak,

go to Google and enter the following:

site:yourdomainhere.com

You can do the same MSN and Yahoo.

okay...When I do this it only returns the homepage URL and nothing else. Does this mean that it has only found the homepage and the other pages are currently invisible, such as the forum?

It is exactly what it means.
Give it a while and they will get indexed.

The only valuable link to it Google views now is searchsight.

It is important to get more incoming links to the site...

Preferably on topic.

Thanks for your insight. I have submitted to quite a few related directories but who knows how long it will be before those are approved. In the meantime I think I really need to work on adding some good content.

Thanks again for your thoughts!

Directories - remember if the directory is not
indexed (or is penalized by Google) it doesn't help you.
