Default I recommend..

I recommend that you do not pay other people to submit your website.

Instead, use that money to generate more content.

Then make sure a link to your site is on as many other sites as possible. Preferably similar sites.

Once you have content, submissions go on autopilot.

I am new to all this.My site has only been up for 3 weeks now so I am still learning a lot.

You mentioned autopilots.What is that?

I also had another question, can I submitt my site to the search engines while the company I hired is submitting for me as well.I don't want to get banned from search engines because my site is being submitted 2 times per month.Let me know.......

Autopilot is just a saying. It doesn't have anything to do with SEO. What I mean is that if you get links to your site in as many other sites as possible - you don't even have to submit, because search engines will find your site through theirs.

For my thoughts on this subject, see this recent post of mine :)

..it got taken off the beaten track a bit, but the first part/post should help you out.

..and if your SEO guys are submitting, I suggest that you do not submit yourself.

Also, make sure these "SEO Experts" know what they're doing - because they could cause you more harm than good. Do you feel inclined to let us know who's doing the submitting for you?

HI Matty

Many search engines will find and spider your site without the need to submit your pages or pay for thier inclusion if they find links to your site from sites in thier index.

Google (currently providing search results to Yahoo, AOL, Netscape and others) and Alltheweb (currently providing results to Lycos) are particulary good in this respect followed closely by Altavista and Wisenut. Inktomi has been spidering heavily lately, and I believe that thier spidering and indexing now that they are owned by Yahoo is going to put them up with the leaders in this category if they continue to address some of thier problems, These sites alone provide results to nearly 95% of all web searches so you can see there is really not all that much need to submit your sites manually.

I would not submit the site any where until you fix the meta tags.

Submitting your site has nothing to do with your ranking. You can submit it ten times a day to Google but there not going to give you a higher ranking.

Your in a very competitive field. It is going to take a lot of work and a lot of time to get a top ranking for good key words in your field.
Step one is fixing your meta tags.

Your title is to short your key words are to long you have no heading tags.

Your going to need all you can get before you even thing about submitting the site.

After you get the site set up you need to work on links a lot of links.

I agree with Janeth that you have to get the basics right before you are going to compete effectivley.

In the long run however your rankings in any competitive category at Google are going to depend in a large part on inbound anchor text links.

Actually, I didn't look at your source. You'd better put a hold on your SEOers, because you're on your way to having your rankings damaged.

They should have told you that. What sort of SEO company would agree to submit this?

I haven't heard of "submitpro" ..but my advice is to give them the sack.
