Is there a way using a .htaccess file to redirect traffic from domain.com to www.domain.com ?

that is mostly used in the backend of the web hosting company that you are going through to host your site.. if not, time to switch... lasvegaswebhosting.com has a great backend tool using cpanel. i know alot of site use cpanel, but never had any problems with that company..
