Default use of Title Tag in link

Can someone guide me to the benefits of using a title tag in the html links.

IMO they work like ALT for images. Adding keywords to the link, making it easier for the SE to know what it links to.

I add them on all my links, expecialy image links.

Hi khurramali,

Even we are placing title tags for all the html links.. There wont be any direct effect for the invidual page. While calculating the backward links that time title tags and the text used for html links play an vital role.

if any further information kindly let me know...

Thanks,
Amar

Default It has been said...

It has been said at SES several times now that these tags have no value. They are too easy to manipulate, much like meta tags, so they aren't trusted. For link credit, it needs to be anchor text or an alt on an image.
