Default whats wrong with my site?

Dear All

I have been developing my website since January. www.findamachine.com
Its a website that allows people to advertise any type of industrial machinery on for a small monthly fee. The problem is getting all my pages into the search engines as they are not there yet after trying a number of different methods.
Also as you can advertise any type of machine on this site i dont know how or what key words to otimize for???

This site has about 2000 pages and if any one can suggest anything to help i would very much appreciate it.

Also if anyone knows anything about SEO for different languages please advise?

Thanks in advance

richard:

Welcome to WPW; hopefully this is the first of many posts as I've no doubt you'll find great information, resources and the power of peers here!

First, I'd loose all of the "Machine Specifications" that you have at the bottom of your page - the anchor text links and content is throwing off your content/keyword ratio I'd think. Try placing these on a separate page maybe?

Your code has lots of "heavy" stuff in the <head> that may not be helping either, making it more cumbersome for the bots to get to "meat" of your site.

Lose the site name from your <title> and consider rewording to better compliment your keyword goals. Your site name is cool, but is hurting your title. However, it could be used, but "broken" up.
"Find Machines: Matching Machines Sales to Machine Needs" or something like that maybe?

Your nav pops might seems cool, but they're really unnecessary right now IMO, besides, you're having to load a bunch of script in your <head> in order to facilitate and that too is not helping out a bit.

You should loose the all-caps paragraph headers IMO. A better method would be to make appropriate use of headings for emphasis in this regard. The only <h> use you've employed is an <h1> for "Featured Adverts" and that is probably doing more harm than good.

You have a lot of style in your code - see about employing these via a CSS and that will lighten your code and go a long way to improve on the 160+ errors your code currently contains.

I know this is a lot of negative, but it's only stated to give you a more positive result in the long run. I like to tell people:

Don't Get Discouraged - Get Determined!

Good Luck and Happy Ranking!

you should make the site for humans, not spiders. that big block of links at the bottom is very confusing.

I couldn't tell what your site was for at first and really didn't want to read every thing to find out. I suggest you make the first things one sees the links to find and advertise machines. That's what your business is all about isn't?
