Default Stubborn site

We're working our way through the SEO for a client www.sydneymenzieshotel.com.au ...the key search term for them is "Sydney Hotel"...we've got them to Page 1 on ninemsn.com.au (local Australian MSN partner)...titles, descriptions, meta tags, alt tags and on-page text have all been updated...but just can't seem to move them on Yahoo or Google...currently ranking page 15-17 in both...PR=3 and we're working on Inbound Links but just struggling to move it up...all pages have been deep-indexed by google and yahoo to total about 60-70 indexed...anyone want to take a peek and suggest any ideas or hints?

I think its simply a matter of a lot more links with 'Sydney Hotel' as the anchor text.

Many of the links (incl DMOZ) say "The Menzies Sydney"; some say www.menzies.com.au (which is a redirect) - very few have the word 'hotel' in them.

Given the competitiveness in this industry, I not sure how well you are going to do.

Yup...fair call...we're "backfilling" the prior links to the old URL with better link names and substituting new URL...guess we'll just have to be patient on this one and work on some of the less heavily competed key words such as Sydney accommodation, sydney CBD hotel etc...thanks for taking the time...greatly appreciated...KP

There's a lot of javascript on there. If you haven't already, move this out to separate files (if you must use it at all) - same goes for your .css

I'd bin the marquee too. When you look at the source, it's quite difficult to find anything really relevant in amongst all the non-SE friendly code.

Just my opinion. I'm no expert so all please feel free to shoot me down in flames!!
