Default is this spam?

i was looking at rankings for a competitor of mine, bluefly.com.

I was checking their indexed pages in Google: http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...Abluefly%2Ecom – Notice the HTML pages listed in the index. If you click on one, they redirect to the dynamic landing URL.

If you check the landing URL string, there is a referrer in it: http://www.bluefly.com/pages/product...ramigo&cm_ven=youramigo&cm_ite=links

www.youramigo.com is a tool that helps dynamic sites go static.

You can see where the URL’s to the html pages are at the bottom of this page: http://www.bluefly.com/sl/bluefly

My question to you is this: Is the fact that they are redirecting their html URL’s to dynamic URL’s Spam/Unethical SEO?

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong section for this post.

The answer is in the question: Is the page the link in the search results goes to the same as the page shown in the Google cache?

In other words, is Google seeing the same thing the visitor sees?

Since when you click on a Google cache link for this site, you get redirected away from what Google has cached, my opinion is that this is spam. Google is indexing the information from one page, that has content we can not see, and the visitor is shown a different page.

I don't think its spam because the static page does land properly in the Dynamic page and they both are relevant.

Additionally the redirection happens with the same URL so it cannot be labelled as a SPAM.

This is the original way of doing SEO for Dynamic websites, now only Google Supports Dynamic websites with Google SiteMap.

but what if the html page is just a static version of the dynamic page? does this make it ok?
