Default Any new way to promote a site?

Hi,

As a search engine optimizer I have composed various operations to increase our page rank and link popularity.

At present I am following the regular ways to promote our website like
1) search engine/ directory submission,
2) meta tag (keywords, description, title) modification,
3) contents modification of page
4) Anchor text etc.,

I want some help realted to the new ways to increase the page rank and link development.
Please guide me.
Any sugestions are welcome:

Try these. Pretty inexpensive.

http://www.free-press-release.com (free, and paid releases. Paid is better of course as they will link to your site. Response to questions is very slow, but there is not much to ask anyway. I rate it 3 out of 5
I only use to get the link to my site. You buy credits for 50 cents each. There is a minimum purchase of $5.00 worth of credits. Each credit pays for 1 press release.

http://www.addpr.com (free, and paid releases. Paid is better of course as they will link to your site + other benefits. Response to questions fast. Much more professional. $10.00 per press release

Both sites give info on how to write good press releases.

Mess,

I'll shamelessly plug my Site here since you have asked and I have researched "Press Release Writing" a bit;Press Release Writing Tips

You may also want to visit the WPW discussion entitled; "Press Release Case Study - With First Month Stats"

You will find the "New Factor" here:

When doing a professionally written release, that the "generic IBL (In-Bound Link) factor has recently been boosted by the strong current of RSS Feeds coupled with Journalist's acceptance and subsequence proliferation of those channels in quest of "syndication".

I hope this helps,
Ken

Try www.prweb.com
Lots of other news sites draw their content from PR Web, and you can post your release there for free.

accuracast,

That's good advice, but it's probably a good idea to read a thread completely before posting.

I've had a look at the site and at least part of your problem is that you are trying to put lipstick on a bit of a pig.

It breaks nearly every site design good practice, its IA is dreadful, it offers no source of credibility for its business model, its content strategy is non-existent, its communication skills are very limited and, most important of all is that you have zero inbound links.

http://www.google.com/search?as_lq=h...2F&btnG=Search

All of those affect your SE rating.

Give me a yell at earl.mardle@kn.com.au of you are interested in doing an exercise that will give you something more to optimise.

The real question is what are you doing to encourage backlinks? You are linking to a lot of other websites, but if nobody is talking about you or linking to you, maybe you need to give them a reason to do so.

In any case, you don't just want backlinks from other insurance sites, you want inbound traffic that you can feed them.

My big question really is how you expect to make a buck out of the site as it stands. Since you don't talk about who you are or what you are doing or what value your site adds to the Insurance business or people looking for cover, its impossible to guess what you should be doing to get more qualkified traffic.
