Are you referring to meta tagging?
There are many different threads about using tags to help site placement. Try the search. Unless you are referring to something else. |

There seems be disucssion of the effectiveness of tagging and searching for relevant items.
Regardless of the efficiency or quality of search, it might be interesting to think about the effect of tagging on the SERPS. My thinking is that even if I don't like or use the search opportunities of tagging, there might be a good hit for the SERPS. It seems that tagging is an opportunity to add lots of keywords and have them posted along with links back to your landing pages. This might help from a SERPS viewpoint regardless of the merits or usefulness of tagging. Actually, I wish there was a way of taking a post for a blog, tagging it prior to uploading, and let it run. Wouldn't that add lots of keywords / links back to your page? See what I am getting at? I wonder if it is worth pursuing this concept. Bob |
