Is Adwords, Overture etc a link generator?

I have read a couple of threads asking if Adwords and it's like help to push a site up the ranks.

One of my sites shows lots of links to it if you type 'sitename' into Google but not so many if you type 'www.sitename.com' or 'link:www.sitename.com'

My question is, if site (A) advertises on Adwords and site (B) shows that add via Adsense does the add on site (B) count as an inbound link to site (A)?

Also, does overture count adwords ads as links?

Thoughts anyone?

In both cases no, adwords/overture are not treated as links (they don't help with the organic serps).

I don't think
