Default Fast Track Linking

I have been testing an idea concerning good inbound links (high PR & traffic links) from other sites. The idea is this...
When I get a link from a good site rather than wait for search engines to naturally discover them, I go ahead and submit the specific page where my link can be found to a ton SE's with an automated program. So far it seems to somewhat decrease the natural propogation time. Has anyone had any experience doing this consistantly?

Default Another option...

Another option is doing something similar to what Bruce Clay does at http://www.seotoolset.com. He has a spider that goes to the engines, gets a list of all links that the main 3 know about, then compiles that into a report. He then has a program that validates that the links exist, it's not a link farm page, and it has Positive PR. From there, it compiles pages that look like SERPs with links to all the pages that link to your site.

By doing this, you'll be able to keep the engines informed of all the links that they should know about. There is also a simple "Add your page" form to submit new sites that the engines may not report about.

We've had great luck with this, so I'm sure that'll be similar to what you're doing, just that you'll have even more instantaneous results.

Default I use his.

I use his. For the price, I couldn't develop it in little enough time to make it pay off.

Default Accuracy of SEOToolSet LinkMaps

I was intrigued by brian.mark's description of Bruce Clay's link analysis tool. I've noticed that Google has very few of my inbound links compared to Yahoo! and MSN. So, I tried the free sample report offered on Bruce Clay's site. The report contains 60 incoming links to my site in order of Page Rank from high to low, and which of three SEs--Google, Yahoo!, and MSN--had spidered those links and recorded them as mine.

The report is not all that accurate. Of the pages where my link was found by LinkMaps and supposedly not picked up by Google, many show up when I use the link:www.mysite.com search command in Google. Also, quite a few of the pages that contain my link are indexed by Google but Google doesn't give me credit for the IBL. So, it wouldn't make sense to submit them to Google, because they're already indexed.

In fact, according to the report, most of my links detected on PR4 and higher sites are not identified by Google, but the PR 2 and less pages are identified by Google.

I guess my question for brian.mark is: have you noticed this about the reports you get using LinkMaps? Is there any way, besides subscribing to LinkMaps, to getting Google to see my link on the pages Yahoo! and MSN are seeing? Yahoo! lists hundreds of my IBLs. Google only 31. Submitting a PR6 site that's already indexed by Google as Megahertz28 suggests doesn't seem like it would be helpful. Any thoughts? Thanks!

A few options that you can turn on in the paid program make it a little closer, but they're still relying on Google's API, which returns a much lower count and ignores a lot of useful IBL's that are listed without the API.

I will say that since we started using LinkMaps, our results have been better in the engines (all of them, not just Google.)

I suppose that f you don't see a link in Google, you could submit it. I have a program pretty well done that scours our logs and submits it to the Bruce Clay tool if it sees a referral. Then Bruce's tool would validate the link for us and include it in the pages. That seems like it could work out well, but I don't have any results to share yet.

Basically, if you could do some stuff with your logfile, finding all the referring pages in the logs, you could create your own version. You'll need to validate those links somehow, make sure you're not linking to link farms, etc. Bruce's tool also seems to make sure that you don't link to PR0 sites, which seems like it is good and bad. If it could figure out if it is a new site, that'd be even better.

Thank you for the suggestions, Brian! I think I'll give LinkMaps a spin.
