Default Not getting indexed

I have a new website: www.merchant-account-explorer.com .

The new site has been live for 2 & 1/2 months (with 2 inbound links from a decent website being there a couple of months). Initially we had just one page online. The rest of the webpages have been up for 17 days.

MSN has indexed just the homepage. A cache of the home page is dated 2 weeks ago.

Google also has indexed the homepage, but has no cached pages (not even the homepage).

Yahoo does not have any pages indexed.

There is no indexing at all by any of the minor search engines.

This is not normal, is it? If not, what can be done to get things moving?

Could one problem be that the sub-pages are php?

Colin

Default Not bad...

Site looks nice, and it is a very needed service.

I would suggest, for Google at least, you could submit your pages via XML with their new program.

Details can be found in this post:

For Google and the other engines, more IBL's would be recommended, as would some deep links.

Thanks.

I'm not a webmaster - my webmaster says we should not try to get any more IBL's or directory links until all the webpages are indexed.

To quote him:
Quote:
The search engine already indexed your home page at least Google and MSN did, the rest of the pages will be crawled and indexed from the home page. The directory links don’t speed up or help this process, the only benefit is the passing of the page rank and link popularity score.

Once all the pages are indexed we can ask for reciprocal links, if they check the link pages right now on MAE they are clearly not indexed yet.
Does this make sense - for example, if Yahoo hasn't even indexed the home page in 2 & 1/2 months, should we still sit back and do nothing?

He wrong - the exact opposite is the case.
You need more links ASAP. Why would any search engine want to bother indexing any site with only a couple of links ---- you are telling them that your site is not very good or very important (otherwise more sites would link to you.)

Thanks - that's what my intuition told me.
