Members,
I have a website located at www.supernaturalminds.com which is a science based website dedicated to geniuses and great minds. I've been trying to build a lot of targeting traffic to that site. Right now I'm getting maybe 20 visitors daily. The issue is, I've submitted my site to over 350 directories. Shouldn't I be getting more than just 20 visitors daily. Does anyone know of any solid techniques to build traffic within a 2 month period. I've added tons of content to the website, and a lot of visitors are arriving through keywords. Thanks, Tesla

In your keywords you have used 'iq' way too many times. Change your keywords in description. Use stuff like 'Worlds Greatest Minds' 'Geniuses of the last few Centuries' Think the way a potential searcher would think. List those guys on your site and add somethink like 'Facts about Einstein' You get the idea?
You will need more than 300 BL's start here in the Directories list www.pheedster.com Join more forums, and go post crazy for a while. Good luck |

With no disrespect intended, I can't help thinking that your problem is that only a handful of people are going to be interested in your topic.
There's nothing seriously wrong or missing in your website or its content, and Google does rate it with PR3, which is more than a very high percentage of sites manage to earn. However, you might be able to attract more visitors by changing your SEO focus. For example, your title and description could incorporate more of what salespeople call the "sizzle instead of the steak." To put it another way, let me ask you how excited people are going to be when they read that "The purpose of this site is to educate ...."? Wouldn't/couldn't they become far more interested if you told them something like "Thinking that has changed the world" / "Einstein isn't the only genius" / "Are you a genius? Here's how you can tell" -- this sort of thing. Sure, it's hype but that's what you gotta do if you want to catch people's attention! Duncan

This type of web site will generally appeal to the top 1% or 2% of the IQ curve, not the masses. Try to look at it as your contibution to the betterment of the world and as a great learning experience for your next web site. Best, RadarCat, WebMaster http://www.os2warplinks.com |

Sure your site will only appeal to a small amount of online traffic but that can also be a huge asset. Google "free online press release" and tell the world what your site is about this will drive a lot of traffic to you and anounce you to linking partners. Also submit your site to free directories listed here
