Default New site - comments greatly appreciated!

G'day

I have just recently set this site live: www.plants-galore.co.uk and wondered if there were anyone out there who has few minutes to look it over and give me some feedback. I'm very new to SEO, so I do not know much beyond what you see on the site (and in the source code). I have manually submitted this site to google, yahoo and dmoz, but that's about as far as I know how to go!

We're definately aiming at the regional UK market and the general idea is to get more customers through the door at the client's 3 garden centre locations.

Any help/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards....

Backlinks...get your backlinks here!

Basically, you want to get as many quality backlinks as you can. If you're targetting regional customers, try to find local sites that focus on flowers, gardening, and whatnot. If that's not feasible (and it may well not be), focus on finding either local sites or gardening sites and get your link on them.

Also, posting your link on the forum board will help get your site indexed as well.

If you want to get it to happen faster, put your hyperlink in your signature and help some people out on here. That always gets things hopping.

As ADAM said, inbound links are key. Maybe placing an article on some of the larger/high traffic Home & Garden sites would also be beneficial to your link campaign.

Default Online Press Release

If you are looking for attention from the search engines I have to recommend an online press release. There are many free services that will anounce your new site to the web. The press release is a very powerful link building tool. Often times the press release will even rank higher than your own site. That being said it will also drive traffic to you too.

If you are looking for incoming links go here:

Have Fun!
