Default How to maintain high rank after site re-design?

Hi everyone,

I'm having my copywriting site (http://www.divinewrite.com) re-designed and I want to ensure I retain my current high ranking. I've provided my web designer with the following instructions. Is there anything else I should include?
• All HTML (for SEO) – i.e. HTML based copy and headings and text based links at the base of each page as per existing site
• No internal Javascript or Flash
• Need to retain all meta tags as per existing site
• Static URLs
• Existing files structure needs to be maintained in order to maintain backlink integrity
• Standard rollovers and/or CSS formatting for navigation menu

I know this may seem like a bit of an open-ended question, but I don't know enough about SEO web design to be any more specific.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers.

Make sure you have them create a robots.txt file, create a 404 error handling page, and have them place your sitemap on the 404 page.

divinewrite,

If you change the URL paths for your new website make sure you do 301 redirects from the old pages to the new ones.
