URL Forwarding

Hi,

I just purchased my domain name but in ".net" to forward to my .com name. Will this affect any search engine ranking?

As long as you are promoting the .com and leaving the .net just for forwarding you should be fine.

I would HIGHLY suggest a 301 permanent redirect. Not only does Google like these better than forwarding (forwarding can actually hurt your rankings because Google thinks you have two sites & doesn't understand the difference as easy at the 301 permanent redirect), but you can assign email addresses to these (since you're actually setting up a hosting account).
