I'm working with a business owner on his site optimization; know that top PRs in our area for our keywords are there thanks to "unethical" tactics (spamming, "invisible text"...), which makes it harder for me to rank high.
Now, the business owner insists on getting a second domain and park it. He thinks that this will increase traffic to his site because that new domain contains exactly our keywords (weird?). My thinking is that I should create a page for that new domain, similar to his current index page, and optimize it using the chosen keywords; maybe add some PHP to maintain both pages more easily... Does that make any sense? :) What do you think? |

You could try and promote it as a separate site. 2 sites can be better than one. Just make sure the content is unique.
Otherwise if you aren't going to promote it, then I would just do a 301 redirect to the other site. If its not promoted it isn't going to get a lot of traffic if any at all. |
