I have two websites which are similar but not the same. One is an ecommerce site that is database driven with online payments and the other site is just a site which was created quickly whilst the ecommerce site was being finalised.
The site that is not ecommerce is now ranking well for various search terms and a lot of products on the site are referrence to our products on our ecommerce site. What I want to know is at the point where a customer wants to purchase a product (not on the ecommerce site) can i direct them to the ecommerce site for that product ie. click for detalils then takes them into the ecommerce site url at the point where that product would be purchased. Is this accepted? Would it damage any ranking chances of either site???? Tipowan |
