Default New MSN updates are fast!

I recently did SEO and redesign for a site and moved it to a new server.

It had some rankings on Yahoo, MSN, Google and others, but way down the list.

In just 6 days it has moved to #6 on MSN out of 2 million+ for the main key word. Hasn't moved on Yahoo, Google or the others yet.

MSN continues to impress me and I have noticed on my own e-commerce site that I am getting much more relevant (=conversions) from MSN than the others.

Yeh. I have a few #1s on MSN and can usually get new sites or pages to top 5 within a few days. On-page SEO for MSN is very traditional at the moment, and I'm not at all confident that it's going to stay so easy to contrive high ranking pages with just a handful of IBLs, so I'm not putting too many eggs in the MSN basket just yet. Google and Yahoo remain priority just now. That's not to say I'm not delighted at the speed with which I'm getting results on MSN - Just that anything so easy can't last long before loopholes get closed.

I agree we can't count on the Algo staying the same. But, what impressed me was the frequency that they seem to be updating their database.

Default 8 days to MSN

I launched a new site March 24th that is already visible on MSN. In fact, it has changed positions TWICE. Currently rated #3 for primary keywords.

Perhaps this will put the pressure on Google to improve the frequency of its updates?

I sure hope so. My clients are never happy with the "Google is just slow" response to SEO activity!

Yep, absolutely true ...

New MSN update is much faster then anybody else ...

Yahoo is doing quite good as well, and Google is quite slow ... then there are the concepts sand and cement boxes ...

If majority of user still use google, then it will be a just a small pressure.

What important for user is search engine provide relevant search for a keyword.
