Default Two sites: Flash and HTML

I am a design company in Oz, with my business name registered as both .com and .com.au

as a 'trendy' design business I want to have a 'trendy' Flash site. But would also like to rank high in search engines.

I am considering putting the Flash site on the .com.au domain and then seperately hosting the .com site, optimised for the search engines- lots of content, lots of keywords, links in and out, etc, etc.

I imagine these to be two seperate marketing strategies, with the .com site being soley designed for netting a potential client who is searching online. And for all other advertising (business cards, advertisments, etc) deliberatley listing the .com.au Flash site as a true representation of the companies aesthitics.

What do people think of this? What are the dangers in concern to being banned? Is this duplicate content?

I don't think this is duplicate content at all. And even if you had the exact same content on the flash and HTML sites, the search engines will not notice it. Today SE's can't really read flash files. (Some claim they can but in practice, they won't). So, SE's would not be able to recognize the flash site as a duplicate because they will not know what's on it!!!!

It is a excellent strategy and you will have no problems with duplicate content.

What about having an html site on the .com, and a choice between html and flash on the com.au
The HTML link would go to the .com site and the flash link would take them into the rest of the .com.au site
