Default IBP 4.0 issues

CTUBUK I know you are another IBP lover as am I.

The last 2 or 3 major reports I have run have come up with quite a few missed keyword placements.

They are currently putting out a 8.0 beta version, and perhaps have laxed on updates the 4.0 version for new MSN?

Other users of IBP may want to take a close look at your MSN and possibly Yahoo results, as IBP sems to be missing quite a bit.

This could make for a good/bad surprise for you or a client.

How did you know I'd read this post Mike?

OK, for those of you that hate automated software, IBP is something I purchased 3 years ago, originally I thought you had to submit to SE's, CPB soon put me straight on that one. Today hoptoo and I, (I think Jason Tor as well)have seen that there is software available that does not 'mimic a browser' - having said that the new IBP 8 Beta does state that it is using a 'Human Behaviour' mode, so for the time being I'm not using it until I can satisfy myself as to it's SE friendly status. It can show you your results on all SE's within minutes, but I restrict my searches to once a month, but thanks to IBP I have developed a marketting system that does make my site one of the most successful Mortgage sites in the UK, but having said that, the UK has a great deal to learn about SEO and promotion in General. Yes at the moment IBP is chucking out some unusual stats, but these stats are also a forward projection, no not time travel, last week it had me at 2 on Google, when in reality I was on page 5, two days later I was on 2 and today on 11 (Bloody Google).
We have to live with the fact that Google is going through a 'funny phase'- It's no good loosing your cool, just live through it.

If I have just one tip to give, don't give up trying. go back 6 months in this forum and play 'spot the name'- you will be surprised how many names and faces no longer post. If you give up learning, you give up period/

Hopto,

What kind of discrepencies are you finding? I also use IBP4 to do my rank reporting and if there is a discrepency I will need to re-think this.

Thanks,

On a few occasions just this week the reports cam in lighter than I knew them to really be. I hand searched a few big terms and they were on page 1. MSN has missed repeatedly.

I have like 10-15 on google 30-40 on msn and like 100 on yahoo.

So i just check a few that only showed on yahoo by hand on msn and see if it is missing.

I had never had any trouble until this past week. If it comes up light, I would hand check a few that missed on MSN.

I will post if any descrepencies on the next one. I think IBP is sweet, so i dont mean this to be a bash, just want to get a few other users to see if this is a pattern or perhaps just a freak occurence due to a connection issue or something similar.

Yeah mine came up with nothing for MSN which I thought was odd since the week before we had added 5 new keywords coming up on page 1. Keep me posted and if I see any further discrepencies I'll definitely post as well.

Any idea when the new version is coming out?
