Default Looooooooooong URL?????????? Do they get discounted

Hi bUdDiEs

Im going to design a new website and in this
i decided to include KEYWORDS IN URL and bcoz of this the URL has become so long that sometimes it may exceed 60 chars.

my URL is of the form

htttp://www.mysite.com/Directory_name_with_keyword/Page_name_with_keyword.(extension)

Wat i want to know is is there any upper limit after which SE dont read URl's.

The question is too vague. I'd go no more than 3 in each!
It also depends on the presentation. ie.. not separated, separated by spaces, hyphens, underscores... what?

i agree to u that they look monstrous to the users if they get too loooooooooong but the fact is im having urls which are self explanatory in nature.

like for the info about "send email by mail agent" will have the URL like

http://www.mysite.com/how_to/send_em...mail_agent.ext

or i can use spaces or hyphens whichever is more useful.

this URl is self explantory and also the keywords in it.

But for me the main fear is that I heard that URL greter than 60 chars are discounted by google.

Is that true
