Default When Google thinks a site is a copy of another?

Hi, I have a site that was getting good rankings in Google, but now Google is not including it in searches. It still shows PageRank. The problem I see is that it is being seen as a copy of my site www.salmoneye.net. The site with the problem is www.falconcrest-bb.com. Can anyone help? Thanks,

Sam Vandervalk

Welcome to WPW

They are not even remotely close to being seen as copies.

Look for other reasons to explain rankings. Its a bit hard to give specific advice unless we know what keyword(s) you want to rank well for.

I am not even really talking about keywords. I will give you an example. www.falconcrest-bb.com used to show up for Bed and Breakfast Qualicum Beach on the first page. If you typed in Falcon Crest B&B it would show up first. NOw it won't show up for either searches. Thanks, Sam

They are definitely considered copies.
Maybe the age of the site has something to with it.

How did you reach that conlcusion?

They are the same template, but the text is 100% different. Try searching for unique snipets of text from each site - no other sites come up. They are not close to being duplicate for search engines.

This debate can be settled pretty easily. Just go to http://www.copyscape.com/ , copy your URl in and see what they think about plaigerism.

Is this one your's too?

How about this one:
http://www.salmoneye.net

There are several more!
Either you guys have it all "heaped together" over there, or you have more than one Site. Which is it?

Google tags the "If modified Since" server header, and knows who was there first.

Must be spawning season.. seems like everyone is swimming "upstream" together!

Your PR5 is nothing to sneeze at.

bcsalmon,

Maybe you can help answer this.. What's the real difference between "Spawning" and "Spamming" anyway?

Sorry, couldn't help myself!

What are we doing, the "waters" seem pretty "gopped up" over there?
