Default The HTML title element and the Site Name

For most of my webpages I have constructed the HTML title element in this way:
"Codefixer - key phrase"
Should I have left out the site title and just used the key phrase? Does it matter much?

Thanks,
Michael.

I personally think it is a good idea to include the site title in the title, and as long as your title isn't too long, you won't dilute the subtitle keywords too much.

Also kind in mind that you want that title to look good to a search engine user who may just scan the titles in the SERPs.

If I put site's title in the page title, I like to do it at the end. This emphasizes that the text of the title is more important than the website name. In theory it may boost the pages ranking slightly.

Personally I am more likely to click on a link that has a site name in the title. Titles that are all keywords just look a bit odd.

In short, I’d choose to click on "WebProWorld :: Duplicate Content" rather than on just "Duplicate Content."

I'm with jestep here. After all, the title should provide *meaning*. If you can distill the pages's topic into a short phrase which includes your keywords, the better.
