tiff, try www.statcounter.com just to compare, it's free.
Good to see pages full of Vibrators that won't get banished by Google, or would they pick up on a single word and give a different meaning? |

We sometimes get banished if using Safe Search feature, and we do get spam from 'other' vibrator sites on our SERPs....I have tried successfully to get Google to get rid of those pages, there are many less now than just a few months ago, yay!
As for my stats, I just realized that the URLs is a list of "Failed Referrers" actually - waht does that mean? I mean they are obviously links from Google. But does tha tmena the "page cannot be found" was what the user saw? I checked a few - doing the same search - and the pages listed on the SERPS do exist, and opened fine for me..... now what are you thought!? |

- fowler - try clicking the links, they are actual searches on google that people performed - so that is the URL they came to my site from - atleast thats how I read it - if you click the link, you will go to the same results they saw, and if you click my links there, you get a page on my site...

I have never tried either package, so I am hardly qualified to answer sensibly. Maybe the one package only lists two word or shorter phrases. Most of these seem to be longer.
I use WebLog pro at the moment, but I sometimes play with the logs in a text programme to pull them apart or search for something specific. |

Hello tcady,
I have a client that manufactures railcar unloaders. From what I can tell from your list above, those are actual search references by people that visited your Site. There would be no reason for your server to list them if the inquiry had not been addressed to your Site. AwStats is a great package, I prefer it myself. They resolve the inquiries down to # of visits from each specific SE. You most likely are getting visits from a number of different GOOGLE data centers, but the stats are going to try and resolve that down to a total number of visits from Google. They also determine the keywords and phrases used in the searches and sum those for you. If you look at the actual words used in those strings you will find that they are all relevant to your page and you will also most likely find those exact keyphrases listed in your awstats. I am curious what you mean by: Quote:
