Can anyone see how to improve my SEO?

I think I've done everything possible. Now I'm just adding more and more content.

The site is mod rewritten and the page titles, descriptions and keywords are dynamic.

Can you experts here point out anything I could improve please?

Your site is great, megadescription add 'Engagement Rings' 'Rings'
Look at your competitors sites, check their keywords, follow their liks by typing "theirsite" into a google search box, follow their links and put your site in as well. Drop your opening megatag of ampalian and go for 'Engagement rings from Ampalian'
Then really hit those Directories. Good luck

Try getting the actaul keywords within the URL string of the page.

EX: Engagement Rings goes to http://www.ampalian.com/department24/

More optimized URL String: http://www.ampalian.com/Engagement-Rings/
and http://www.ampalian.com/Engagement-Rings/Silver-Ring

This would more then likely take another mod_rewrite, but definitely worth it.

Go to all the major directories and pay to be included. A good starting point: www.strongestlinks.com/directories.php .

Hi Malcolm,
Besides the other advice given, a few things to do to improve the overall "spiderability" of your site:

1.Label your shopping categories, instead of "http://www.ampalian.com/department24" add a title tag to your href that says "Engagement Rings". While this won't help you in the search engines, it will help the user, and they should ALWAYS be your #1 concern.

2. Get Listed in Directories such as:
a. Yahoo $299 per Year
b. DMOZ (provides results to 312 other sites)
c. Bluefind.com $49 one time
d. Jayde (free)

3. Robots.txt file
