Hi,
I've put up my web site, http://designerbags.info, for about 10 days. From the log, I know it's been spidered by robot from Google, Yahoo, and MSN early this month. But they only index the front page, and the robots never spidered my site again. While my other domain that parked at sedo get spidered many times in the same time frame. Is there to find is my site SE friendly? Regards, Sjarief Hilmy |

I always use a Lynx browser to look at a site to see how it would appear to a search engine spider.
The only way to increase the frequency your site is visited by spiders is to have many links to it. So start submitting your site to directories.

Here's some "tough love", shilmy.
It looked a little spammy, keyword stuffed, so I checked it at SearchEngineWorld's Keyword Density Checker. You've got a 21.74% density for "designer bags". Some people say the major SEs will penalize you for having a keyword density that is too high. So what is too high? Most will say it is anything over 10-15%. I haven't seen any proof of this theory, but I think it is a definite possibility. You have a lot of links to unrelated "spammy" smelling sites. You've got links to Bali travel sites, real estate sites, get rich quick sites, and more; about 100 in the footer of your home page. Some of these sites are just parked domains. I'm willing to bet that at least one of the sites you link to (or one of the sites they link to) has some kind of Google penalty. Linking to a "bad neighborhood" is understood by most SEOs to be a good way to incur SERP wrath. If you were a millionaire search engine programmer, do you think some of the things on your site might be on the list of things I program my spider to look for and categorize as "no no's"? Again, not trying to sound harsh and the above was mostly opinion, just trying to offer another perspective. Good luck. |

Hi Flood, thanks for your insight,
If you take a look at my more established site: http://PesonaDigital.com, it seem that your theory about linking to bad sites might not correct. In the footer, it links to the same sites as in http://designerbags.info, and it spidered at least in 2 days by Yahoo, msn, and google. And all pages are indexed by the search engines. And actually, those are all my domains, that waiting to be developed. I put the links so it got spidered by the spider robot. As for the keyword density, the keywords also comes from ads from searchfeed. I use xml feeds option so the spider will recognize it as a text. Do you think it will be better to use Javascript to show the ads, instead of xml feeds? Regards, Sjarief Hilmy P.S.: Thanks for the links, it's a great tool. |

Btw, http://designerbaga.info are hosted in a free host server, does it affect the spider? Regards, Sjarief |
