Hi, littleoslo,
The keyword tag seems of little importance to most search engines lately, and is only of benefit to a few obscure engines. However, in principle yes each page should have its own set of keywords and descriptions, not to mention title, to clearly indicate what each page is about.
Backlinks and especially those with anchor text are #1, but unique tags for each page can help clarify pages' relevancy.

Certainly title and decription should be there, and it is not that much extra work to add the keywords whilst you are at it.

Sorry about that guys, I have to disagree. Between Alg "waffeling" and other SE's still using keywords... not to mention access by some Directory admins and software packages, we continue to use them with success.

Hi and welcome, they are all correct,if you take the time to list your page content by relevance and simply put a heading in two ways, one as a click on box followed by a page title, both being the same, never mix and match. Another way is to put a click on link on a lesser page to a more relevant one and see from your google bar what kind of PR you are getting per page. My current experience is showing a better result from meta description than meta tags. Keep submitting to directories using 'cut and paste' with all of your keywords or page titles (same thing really) in the site description, change something on your site as often as you can, and good luck

I've never been an advocate of excluding keyword tags, by all means, include them. Most importantly, give each page it's own fresh set of tags.
I stand by what I said, which is that most of the majors don't seem to look at them. Ken i'll bet on a cheeseburger if you put a unique word in a keywords tag on a mock site, Google won't find it.

I'll let jawn_tech answer his own question, but your site is colourful, your tags are all in Norwegian so I guess you are looking for Local Custom as opposed to International? I think, that before asking a question on what is basically an English speaking forum that it would have been better if you had asked if Google understood all languages, no doubt it does, but it would have been more helpful. Also is it Norwegian, as I know a little of the lingo having been in a band called the trolls led by Rune Sande?

I firmly believe that keywords are important for "structural analysis" and keeping a focus in Site building and redesign. The search engines are "logical" platforms as is all software. I also believe that some of the other SE's and Directories utilize them still. Even if they all drop usage, keyphrases are a great way of keeping focus on "logic channels" during later updates.

I put Keyword meta tags, title meta tags, and description meta tags on each page. Each page must have tags that refer describe that page. All of the words in the tags, must be used in the text of the page. They should be the words that are repeated most, used as headlines, alt tags, etc. You will be penalized if you use words as keywords, that aren't used as text on the page.
