Default How much to charge for space on web site

I have been approached by a 3rd party who wants to pay me to put an ad on my site & I have no idea how to determine what is an acceptable amount?

I would assume it is dependent upon
  1. Traffic
  2. Position in SERP
  3. Google PR
Any pointers & tips would be gratefully received.

I would say that you have a good idea of where ti begin estimating the price.

Overall, I would first off figure out exactly why they want to advertise on your site. Is it a closely related topic? Depending on what the site was about I may not charge as much, but it all depends. If you care to share what your site is, and a hint at what the advertiser sells/site relates to, I would be happy to help judge a possible ideal price.

Thank you keywordguru.

The site is http://www.brakingnews.us. It is a site about a soccer team in England. It has a Google PR of 5 & is getting an average of 157.00 visitors per day.

The company wanting to purchase the ad space is a building supplies company in the town who also sponsors the team. They are primarily interested in having an ad like a print ad. They did not think of me linking to their site until I mentioned it.

I hope that is enough info.
