Default Designers turned SEOs -vrs- Programmers turned SEOs?

  • Do Designers turned SEOs approach SEO differently than Programmers turned SEOs

Whom would you chose - would both skills be optimum or conflicting?

I don't think it matters as long as you can preform SEO. If you worked at Burger King and turned into an SEO Specialist and were succesfull all the more power to you.

For a big project, you need both designers and programmers. Whom to you choose will depend on the requirements of the project.

Btw, Designers and Programmers won't be called so if they don't know SEO (in the near future).

IMHO, SEO is as much related to design as it is programming, as layout can definitely be an issue in many cases. So I think experience in both fields definitely helps. But I think as long as they know SEO, (that is, true ethical SEO), the approach is mostly the same. The rest depends on the type of site desired to be built.

I agree with sudhani. For the big project you need team of professionals (coders, designers, SEO professional) each of them should specialize only in his own sphere.

For the small project it`s better to have designer with SEO skills.

But on my opinion every professional should be great in his sphere first of all, and all other additional skills are not so important.

I see "Developers" as doing Design, Programming, Seo and Marketing & Promotion. Where do they fit into the equation?

I also think the time has passed for involvement at any professional level to be done or at least coordinated by a strong SEO position from the start.
