Default IFrame searchability

I am finding conflicting reports on the ability of SEs to search pages that contain IFrames. I have a site that uses iframes for small sections of the page (a login section that changes to "edit profile" after login). The majority of the page content is NOT in the Iframes. Only 3 of the pages on the site are indexed on google, and 4 on yahoo.

Are my Iframes preventing a crawl?

Damn fine question and one I have been pondering myself, yet hadn't gotten round to asking.
My biggest site uses iFrames for all the content pages - my index page only contains the navigation and banners.
My fears have been somewhat allayed however - when I do a site:www.mysite.com google all my pages show up - and this is despite the fact that they include some shifty redirection to stuff the page into the iFrame if it is called up on its own.

But would my rankings be better without iFrames and redirects? I don't know. But I'm not getting banned (yet) and the site looks great and does what I want it to. That'll do me...

I think iframes are great, only downside (in my experience) is that they get a little flaky in HTML email in some email clients. If you aren't emailing of course this wouldn't be an issue and I probably didn't answer any question... but that's pretty much all I know about 'em.

So, you are getting a good crawl with iframes... Perhaps there is something else preventing the crawl.

This site is very similar to one of my other sites except for the Iframes. If someone wouldn't mind checking both out and letting me know if there is somthing that stands out in one compared to the other, I would appreciate it.

the 2 sites are: www.nrsweb.com and www.nrsrescue.com

site:www.nrsweb.com returns 4860 (on google)
site:www.nrsrescue.com returns 3 (on google)

Any help would be greatly appreciated
