Default Can search engines follow this link?

I am using a script to count link clicks.

The links look like this:

href="http://www.sitea.com/cgi-bin/countlink.cgi?www.siteb.com"

I am sitea, can search engines follow the link to siteb?

Sandy

I would tend to think 'no'. Good question though. Anybody have experience to the contrary?

I think I have seen spiders index cgi pages, but I have never seen any with PageRank. Im not positive on this, but Im pretty sure it is correct.

I have found a few .pl pages listed, so I think cgi is OK.

If you're worried, setup a mod rewrite to get rid of the .cgi on your pages. There are plenty of places on the net where you can find how to do this. It will also make the address bar look neater.

Default clarification

The script just counts the click and then forwards the user away from my website to siteb, not to a page within my own website.
