Default Will search engines index shtml files?

Hi, I have some shtml files that are using the command for including other html and php files for it's content, title and keywords. Will the search engines skip over the content because of the <!-- ?

Hope that made sense, I'm not sure how to put it....

Thanks!

All the engines I've encountered index shtml files without complaint.

Because they request a file from the server and because the server incorporates the include files before returning a result, the robot sees only the completed file.

lahddah,

.shtml extensions are absolutely no problem. I actually have several sites that use that extension.

Hmmm....sounds good. I thought that SHTML files could be optimized, but am concerned about the inlude files within. From what's been said here, they should'nt pose a problem. So, can anyone try to tell my why the following page, and others like it on this site, are not being indexed?

http://sportraxxbysimpson.com/about.shtml

Here's the raw code for it:
----
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "hmpro6.dtd">
<HTML>
<HEAD><SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"></SCRIPT><LINK
REL="stylesheet" HREF="content.css" TYPE="text/css">
</HEAD>
<BODY BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF" LEFTMARGIN="0" TOPMARGIN="0" MARGINWIDTH="0"
MARGINHEIGHT="0">
<TABLE WIDTH="715" BORDER="0" CELLPADDING="0" CELLSPACING="0">
<TR VALIGN="top">
<TD ALIGN="left"></TD>
<TD ALIGN="left" BGCOLOR="#99CCFF"></TD>
</TR>
<TR VALIGN="top">
<TD ALIGN="left">
</TD>
<TD> </TD>
</TR>
</TABLE></BODY>
</HTML>

---------------

Thanks!
