Default Linking to directories and different URLs

2 questions...

I am adding my site to a number of directories but it can go under a few different catagories. Lets assume all have same PR. Am I better trying to add to the catagory with the least number of links so I get better PR passed to me? Again assuming the three I am looking at are all relavant so it doesn't matter which. I presume adding it to a busy apge will dilute the PR passed?

Also I have a recip link to a page that is say www.bluewidgets.com/id?344 i.e. its a dynamic page but with PR. If I also have a recip to www.bluewidgets.com/id?455 which also has PR does this count as 2 links at both pages are spidered or does google just look at the domain as one PR passing link despite the 2 links to different spidered pages? Again assuming both are relavant etc etc... just from a PR perspective.

Ta muchly.

I would put it in the category with the least amount of links. This will be better for PR getting passed to you and it is more likely that visitors will see your site and click your link.

IMO, Google treats the passing of PR, from directories, different. It could see all pages in the directory as having the same PR and number of links. If this is not the case, there would be major flaw in Google's calculation of PR.

Let's say there are 2 sites, both could fit under one of 2 categories (like your site). Site "A" ends up in category "A" and this category has a PR of 8 and only 5 links. Site "B" ends up in category "B" and this category has only a PR of 5 and 15 links.

Why should/would Google pass more PR to site A under this false pretence?

Default The best choice

I think you're better to get listed in the most appropriate category and only that one.
People are more likely to find you where you ought to be than in a less than obvious place.
And if the directory is a good one, I question whether they'll accept a spamlike attempt to get listed more than once.
