How Often Does Google Update the PR Meter in the Google Bar?

Hello All,

I am just wondering if anyone knows how often Google updates the PR meter in the Google bar. Unlike the monthly Google dance (which now seems to happen few times a week) the PR meter doesn't seem to change that often. I could be wrong but it seems to change about once every 2 months.

Does anyone know? Just curious :-).

In my experience of monitoring my web sites & my competitors it would appear to change on the first of every month.

Google PR update takes 2 month.

Google has been updating the PR and backlinks, about ecery 4 - 6 weeks, and they usually do it on a Sunday or a holliday.

On a serious note, if people say PR contributes to SERPS listings, why isn't the PR system updated regulary?

Looking at my site & those of my competitors I finds that it appears to be a combination of PR & keyword density that determines how high or low you appear in the index.

The PR meter update happened last night June 22, 2004. All the sub pages in my art directory - http://i-artz.com/art_links.php were ranked PR3 for the first time.

I guess only Google knows when they do these updates.
