I have recently added a lot of new pages that are currently ranked PR0 but are getting substantially more traffic from Google than older PR4 and PR5 pages. I think the PR meter is not being updated.

BTW, I'm now only accepting submissions in the VoIP, Bluetooth, P2P, Proxy Server and Women's Clothing categories. Others have an interminable wait due to limited time available for processing.

I have offered quick inclusion in trade for volunteer category editing (no guarantee--the final edit is still mine to deter spammers) but no one seems interested just yet. If you state your biases up-front and your link is a legitimate entry it could be a permanent editing position for the category...

Great list folks! I have compiled (most of) this list into an Excel Spread sheet if anyone is interested in a copy I would gladly make it available via download or by e-mail. I find the spreadsheet easier to use because I can add a column for each site I add and include date of submission or other info. It amkes it easy to let customers know where their site(s) have been submitted to.

I have a outdoor related directory (PR6) there is a one-time indexing fee. Sites are included (usually) within 24 hours, and no recipricol link required.

TM Todd

GOOD IDEA - why not post it on your site for download? .... get some visitors from here in return for the work you did!!

If you do, post a link to it.

Here it is

http://www.outdoors-411.com/directory-se.xls

I Hope you find it as usefull as I am sure I will. I am in the process of including a "Cost" and "reciprocal link required" column.

Any other suggestions to make it more useful?

If you don't mind, I will steal your work afterwards and add that to the web listing for those who prefer that form.
BTW, for those who complained about URL.BIZ, my backlinks from there are showing now.

Here are a few more I don't think were mentioned

http://bluefind.com/
http://musicmoz.org/ - Music
http://www.searchturtle.com/
http://www.wowdirectory.com/

I did some more work on the spread sheet. Feel free to use it in any way you want. It may be best just to link to it becuase I see this as an on going long term (never ending) project.

I'd have thought that since my link is posted earlier on this thread that TN Todd would have merged my list into his spreadsheet.

He did not because the merged list numbers 897 records. The merged list is now here:

http://www.andilinks.com/sea5.htm

There may still be a few alternate spelling dups left, but all the obvious dups are purged. I have not yet spidered the new entries for meta tags so the detail pages are still the old list of 597 records, but I will be completing that some time later tonight if you want descriptions.

I keep this list as an Access database, if TN Todd or anyone wants it in that form to merge into the spreadsheet just email me. I can export it as a tab delimited text file if you can't open Access97.

Sorry Andi, I must have missed this page!

Thanks to Andi this Spreadsheet has taken a huge leap forward. I have removed most of the duplicates (I think) and done some other work. If anyone needs an older version of Excell let me know, this is saved in 2002.

Thanks Andi!

I have been going through this list today and have deleted many duplicates and dead links, but I do want to warn against one link on the list:
Code:
http://webhurr---icane.cjb.net/
Which will install spyware called msbb.exe. I added the "---" in the center of the URL to avoid its being a link.

The most recent list is here:
http://www.andilinks.com/sea5.htm

The url's as an alphabetical (by link title) text file is here:

http://www.andilinks.com/URL.txt

I don't plan to keep this updated on an ongoing basis except on the Andilinks site and Todd's list should be better after today as a spreadsheet list. But as of this moment I'm sure this is the best version of the list--having just spent half a day updating it manually.

We can probably add another 1000 high ranking directories here pretty easily. We have almost 7000 views and 120 replies. Everyone can contribute a little, at least. Let's give it up. Most using the listings will not be in direct competition anyway.

It is depressing how few of these directories are showing a backlink after two months. I will start preparing a list of the ones that show up with a link to save everybody unnecessary work.
