Default (using a "301" code in HTTP headers)

I killed another clients ghost pages. But they ranked well on Yahoo and MSN. I tried an htaccess redirect on the errors.

This worked but the client lost 75% of his site visitors and sales so he forced me to put them back.

I optimized the pages that are natural on the site and they are starting to rank.

I want to go at my client again about killing the gateway pages.

How do I do this 301 code in HTTP Headers??

Thank you for your help.

Must every client have some sort of trick or cheat ???
LOL

What you need to do is a 301 Permanent Redirect. There's a lot of good information here:
